Privacy Policy
This policy explains what R345.co.za collects, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask of us. It is written to meet the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are
R345.co.za is an independent South African guide to the egg grading, packing and marking regulations (GN R.345 of 2020). It is not a government body, an inspector, an assignee or a certification body.
What we collect
- What you type into the form: business name, business type, approximate weekly volume, email address, phone number if you give one, and your question if you ask one.
- Technical detail sent with that submission: your IP address and browser user-agent string, recorded to detect abuse of the form.
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. You can download the checklist PDF without giving us any details at all.
Why we collect it
- To reply to you if you asked a question.
- To email you when the guide changes, if you asked us to.
- To understand, in aggregate, who uses the checklist.
Our legal ground under POPIA is your consent, given by ticking the box and submitting the form. You may withdraw it at any time.
Who else processes it
- Netlify hosts the site and processes the form request.
- Supabase stores the form submissions.
- Resend delivers our internal notification of your submission.
Some of these providers process and store data outside South Africa. We do not sell your information and do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Submissions are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until they are clearly of no further use.
Your rights under POPIA
You may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Use the "Ask a question" form on the home page and we will act on it. There is no charge. If you are unhappy with how we handled your request, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa), whose details are published at inforegulator.org.za.
